Operating from a 26,000 square foot state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the West of Ireland, Metaltech GSE is proud to supply our products to airlines, airports, and ground handling operations all over Europe. Our success is made possible through fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement throughout the company. We strive to continuously design and manufacture products of the highest possible quality standards that meet the needs of the industry through listening to and understanding our customers’ requirements.
The Beginning
Metaltech Engineering Ltd founded, focusing on bespoke maintenance steps, docks, and platforms for the aircraft maintenance sector.
Expansion into GSE
Recognising a gap in the market, Metaltech Engineering began repairing and modifying ground support equipment for airlines. This led to the development of our own range of simple, reliable, and cost-effective products without complex hydraulics or electrics, designed to be easy to operate and maintain.
Major Milestone with Ryanair
In 2018, Metaltech GSE achieved a landmark in aviation history by securing a part of one of the largest GSE supply contracts ever awarded. The project involved the delivery of 120 passenger stairs, 1,100 baggage trailers, and 360 passenger guidance trolleys, which were deployed across 23 Spanish hubs. This monumental effort supported Ryanair’s transition to self-handling operations, establishing a new industry benchmark for reducing the operational cost of ground support services.
